Many Americans have questions about the latest Tax Reform bill, especially how the cuts will impact them. Congresswoman Kristi Noem tried to answer a few questions Thursday in KOTA Territory.

Representative Noem discussed the tax cut package Thursday afternoon at a luncheon hosted by American for Prosperity-South Dakota. People from the area attended the free lunch to hear a few words from their elected official.

The Congresswoman discussed the benefits of the bill, saying it is the biggest tax cut package in history. Rep. Noem says the bill is already showing benefits to the U.S. economy.

"We are seeing companies re-invest in America, announcing that they are coming back to the U.S.," said Noem, "that is exactly what we wanted and we are happy to see so many companies taking action so quickly."

Rep. Noem also stressed the importance this reform will have to South Dakota. Senator Thune served on the Senate negotiating committee while Rep. Noem worked with negotiators in the House. Leading the negotiations was Rapid City native, Kevin Brady.

"Half of Americans don't have $400 in their savings account," said Noem, "This is an opportunity to get money in their pocket, and Washington will respect that hardworking taxpayer."

Rep. Noem went on to say that this tax reform bill will give small business owners the opportunity to invest in their business and families, creating more opportunity and growing the economy.
