Washington, D.C. – Rep. Kristi Noem today spoke on the House floor in favor of reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), which passed the House today. Rep. Noem noted that Native American women experience abuse at a higher rate than non-Native American women, and discussed provisions she included in VAWA to ensure Native American victims can obtain federal protection orders.
